#AwayIsHome Live! Business travel edition

We’re thrilled to be broadcasting our Away is Home Travel Show Live about taking the family on business trips this week. Is it fair to the family? How do you manage their expectations and still get your work done? Also we want to know how you trick out your car for road trips. We have a dashboard hula girl that travels from our car to the rental. Well, that’s one way to find your car in the lot. Your advice and tips on these stories are welcome!

Tune in to this page at 11 a.m. EDT on Thursday, July 25, 2013. The after party will air right here!

As you know, the Away Is Home travel show live happens across all major social media, from Twitter to Google Plus to Facebook. But you can see it all right here if you just want to watch. Which is fine with us.

Right after the social media event, we’ll live stream our after party.

So, what’s the Away Is Home Travel Show Live? Well, simply put, it’s an interactive, cross-platform adventure starring you. Here are the details.

This week’s discussion comes to you live from the Peabody Hotel in Orlando, Florida. Chris is speaking at a conference and the family is along for another business event. I’ll be chatting it up with the other poolside families attending conferences and finding out how they make business trips work as their family vacation.

How about you? Where have you been? How are you getting there? What are you looking forward to?

Did you know that over the past three months Chris and Kari have lost over 30 pounds?! We’ve learned a lot about the food that’s available on the road and how to avoid the pitfalls of fast food dining. If only our kids would get on board. Do you have fussy kids that stick their nose up at healthy alternative or flat out refuse to eat anything but “kids meals?” Help us out on our upcoming articles with tips to get the sugary and salty snacks out of the cupboards and the flavorful natural foods back on the table.

How to participate

You can send us your questions by email or post them under the #familytravel hashtag on Twitter, Facebook or Google Plus.

Oh, and don’t forget to follow us on Facebook, Twitter and Google Plus. Follow us and let us know you’re coming to the party!

See you there.
