On the road less traveled, we drive Hertz

The kids and our Hertz rental Jetta at the Maine State House

When you spend as much time in a car as we do, your vehicle’s more than a set of wheels. It’s a member of the family.

Don’t believe me? Then ask our kids about Greenie – the fuel-sipping VW Jetta that traveled with us as we explored the East Coast last summer. By the time we reached Rockland, Me., we were posing for pictures with the car.

And a funny thing happened when we landed in Maui this past October. The car was a shiny GMC Acadia – the same as the rental we took on our cross-country excursion from Florida through South Dakota, Montana, Oregon, Nevada and Utah. We drove it everywhere.

The kids were so excited when they saw the SUV, they hugged the front seats.

That’s why we’re thrilled to be teaming up with Hertz for another year. Because the way you get around is as important as where you go.

Welcome back, Hertz. Here’s to 2013 and the start of another amazing adventure together.
