Vacation homes give you the space and amenities you need to get everything done when you’re on the road. That’s why we’re thrilled to welcome the Vacation Rental Managers Association as our first featured sponsor of the new year and of season two of Away is Home.
What’s not to love about a professionally-managed vacation rental?
I love to bake and cook so my favorite place in our rentals is the kitchen. Sometimes there are some appliances I don’t have at home that I can try out. But most often, the kitchen has lots of room to cook with helpers. When we visited Ocean City, Maryland we cooked together and had a great time. The food was good too!
For the kids, it’s the game room or the pool. When we stayed in Palm Bay near Cinnamon Beach our rental had a heated pool and entertainment center while in Deadwood, South Dakota our executive lodging had a “man cave” complete with bar and extensive video game library. When we’re staying in a condo or townhouse style home, we visit the community center or playground like when we visited Breckenridge, Colorado.
Chris likes the privacy that comes from being in a vacation home. He’s always the first one to find a quiet nook where he can set up shop like the courtyard at our Santa Fe, New Mexico adobe villa or the loft at our Big Cottonwood Creek, Utah cabin.
But the most important thing is that we have time to finish our school lessons, get our work done and still have time to explore. Staying in a professionally-managed rental is like having a home away from home.
