Fun food fight highlight of cruise dining

Is calling this a food fight misleading? Maybe a little, but there’s no doubt there was some serious rivalry going on at the table our first night at sea while dining at the NCL Epic signature restaurant, Teppanyaki.

If you’ve ever been to a Japanese steak house, you probably know where I’m going with this almost tall tale of hand-waving, flying food and mayhem. But we have the video to prove who ate the food and who let it fall to the floor.

And this was only the beginning of the evening. Our chef was nothing is not creative in ways to keep us engaged in the food making process. (You didn’t get to see him spin and toss the eggs into his hat before dropping them flawlessly in his spatula.)

The kids really liked the scrambled egg dragon.

The poor waitstaff had to keep cueing us to eat the delicious starters, appetizers, and entrees as we were so entranced.

If you haven’t watched the movie yet, I don’t want to give away who threw the first an last crumb. I’ll just say, “Way to go Aren!” and leave it at that.

Many thanks to Thamar Romero, who witnessed the whole battle while managing to stay clean.
